Patriots Match Longest Victory Run Since Brady Era with Win Over Jets
First-year player TreVeyon Henderson has scored five TDs during the current campaign
The New England Patriots matched their top unbeaten stretch from the Tom Brady era as they defeated AFC East rivals the Jets 27-14 in professional football
Rookie TreVeyon Henderson led the way with three scores as the New England squad notched an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since iconic QB Brady's last year with the team in the 2019 season

Victory bolsters the Patriots lead at the top of the division as they advanced to nine wins and two defeats, with the Jets bottom after falling to a 2-8 mark
The visitors had gone in front at their home field with quarterback Justin Fields rushing for a five-yard touchdown to conclude the New York's initial series
But the New England fought back in the second quarter as the rookie scored two seven-yard touchdowns before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Drake Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third period to make it 21 to 7
"It was a key occasion for him rising to the challenge, and it's been excellent for him to keep getting these reps," Maye said of Henderson. "He desires to be outstanding."
Justin Fields connected with John Metchie toward the end of the third period to close the gap for the visitors but Andy Borregales converted a pair of field goals in the fourth quarter as the home side sealed the win
